The first Martin & Martin collection was presented at the 2000 Paris Optics Fair: urban frames made of black, white and transparent materials only. A combination of charismatic design and high quality. The collection quickly found a following on the European market and became a success. Since then, the range has grown steadily and now offers a wide variety of shapes and colours.
Unconventional shapes such as "Xaver" (Design Award Tokyo 2004), "Mick" or "Ollie" are as much a part of the collection as timeless classics such as "Paul", "Fritz" or "Erik".
After studying philosophy and literature for a few terms, Martin Lehmann took up gardening and eventually obtained a degree in economics.
The business studies and many years of professional experience in the field of controlling resulted in an interesting mix that laid the foundation for the company. Since then, he has been focusing on the development of the collection with its various shapes and colours, the sales structure and the brand communication.
Since 2011, Martin Lehmann has been the sole owner of Martin & Martin.
