The Hoffmann workshop was founded about 40 years ago. What is so special about the origins and development of the brand Hoffmann? No one started wondering « What niche product can I make for the bezel market? ». No! On the contrary, Josef Hoffmann began to create natural horn frames because he was fascinated by this beautiful material and because this material is simply ideal for spectacle frames. He had the necessary know-how and had the courage to try something new.
The success of brand shows that people yesterday and today have recognized the unique, individual and artistic character of these frames. At the beginning, when the artisans of the small bezel shop of the Eifel still relied on the fingers of a hand, no one predicted that this name would be synonymous with the art of the bezeling and would be part of the contemporary history of the bezeling.
Today, 90 people work for the brand Hoffmann and mounts are available in more than 50 countries around the world. This is proof of what can be achieved when, in addition to the accumulation of professional and technical experience and know-how, a true passion and love for innovation are present.
