AHLEM was launched in 2014 by Ahlem Manai-Platt, a designer born in Paris and based in Los Angeles.
Careful attention to detail, emphasis on exceptional materials, commitment to sustainable methods and a constant obsession with arts and culture combine to inform the AHLEM vision. The timeless applications of the Bauhaus design principles of the early 20th century have a particular resonance and serve as a constant aesthetic reference.
Craft know-how
Each pair of AHLEM glasses tells a story of craftsmanship: Throughout the production, the glasses go through three specialized workshops and come into the hands of nine skilled artisans, each with a particular profession transmitted from generation to generation. Maintaining fierce loyalty to these artisans and preserving their knowledge and traditions are at the heart of our mission.

We believe that simple and elegant designs, made of high quality materials, produce objects that can last a lifetime. To maintain the highest level of quality and consistency, our production series are limited to 300 pieces.
