The Active collection deliberately challenges the current technical aesthetics of the eyewear. We create sunglasses with a craftsmanship that adapts to sports practice while transcending it. Article One x Nikki Hiltz for Pride Month
As part of our partnership with Nikki Hiltz, we are launching a pride month campaign to support an organization that values us, both Nikki and Article One: Stand with Trans.
In June, 100% of the profits from Avalon sunglasses will be donated to Stand with Trans.
Stand with Trans (SwT) is a Michigan-based national organization that aims to empower and support young transgender people and their loved ones.

We are proud to partner with Nikki Hiltz, the first non-binary runner to win a National Athletics Champion title in the United States, as Ambassador of the brand.
In addition to being a professional athlete, Nikki is an activist committed to equal rights. She is particularly invested in inclusion and fundraising to support the young LGBTQ+ community in the field of running.

Committed to independent opticians
At Article One, we believe in the future and the importance of independent opticians. We work exclusively with independent optical stores for the same reasons that we collaborate with small craft factories: authenticity and connection. This is also why we, as customers, choose to shop at our local independent retailers. We value the connection with people hiding behind the company.
From passion to final product
Article One had the chance to collaborate with our friend and artist Maxine McCrann to create illustrations inspired from our Spring-Summer 2022 collection. The illustrations being so special, we decided to work with Maxine to produce a limited number of prints.
