Vuarnet has a story, it's unique. She began in 1957, rue Boissy d-Anglas in Paris in the Roger Pouilloux workshops. This avant-garde optician, passionate about skiing, will revolutionize the world of sunglasses by inventing an exceptional glass, the Skilynx, capable both of protecting him on the slopes and of providing him with a vision of the relief, and that even at times covered.

In 1957 Roger Pouilloux, an avant-garde optician and ski enthusiast, invented the Skilynx glass.

In 1960, brand Vuarnet was born. It is an encounter that will seal the creation of the brand eponymous VUARNET. It took place with Roger Pouilloux in 1959, when the optician offered the French ski champion the mount 02, in witness to his admiration. In 2015, VUARNET launched a contemporary version of its iconic Glacier model brand the beginning of a new era.

Its success goes beyond the French Alps to seduce the most famous secret agent in history, James Bond in the last opus Spectrum. A simple gesture removes removable hulls to transform the Glacier model into a classic pilot mount for a daily wearer.

Vuarnet Spring-Summer collection 2023 « Summer Heights »

 

In 2023, Vuarnet once again acquired her know-how as Maison de la Montagne Française by presenting her collection of ready-to-wear Spring-Summer 2023, carefully created under the artistic direction of Boramy Viguier.

Filmed in a traditional Alpine chalet in Megève, the new campaign entitled "Summer Heights" celebrates the sacred values of the Alps and Vuarnet's legacy in this environment.

 

 

A new solar collection adds to the Vuarnet range, all pairs are equipped with Vuarnet mineral lenses and developed with eco-friendly materials.

The collection will be available from September 2022, at Vuarnet outlets, online on Vuarnet.com and at some opticians and retailers.
