BLAC is a brand revolutionary glasses made of carbon fibre reinforced by titanium. All mounts are light, but very solid. BLAC is designed and manufactured exclusively by our own production team at the Bellinger house in Risskov, Denmark.
BLAC history
The story begins with the designer Claus Bellinger and his fascination with McLaren's MP4-1 composite carbon body, which shook the world from Formula 1 to Silverstone in 1981. The MP4-1 was the first fully carbon Formula 1 body, designed as a mould, rather than the traditional series of flat aluminium panels mechanically fixed together. The reward for challenging conventional thinking was a huge leap in strength and strength that would revolutionize the design of racing cars. The characteristics of the carbon fibre and fibreglass composite are its unique woven surface – an unusual lightness combined with high strength.
BLAC is hand-made in Denmark by our own specialized production team located in the Bellinger house in Risskov, Denmark. BLAC is the first carbon adjustable temple in the world, with a patent to prove it. The new and top secret production process allows each BLAC frame to benefit from special attention and craftsmanship, guaranteeing a unique design of each frame. All mounts are hand-made for each individual customer with hinges, screws and bits adapted to our BLAC mounts.
All BLAC fibre and fibreglass frames are manufactured using the raw material directly in the process. No lacquer is applied, which gives each frame a single raw surface of carbon fibre and woven glass fibre.
