Since its creation in the early 2010s, Blackfin has been gradually asserting itself as an essential reference in the field of bezeling. The brand The success of the company is due to its fully integrated production model on a single site in the Italian Alps, as well as to the innovation in its collections.
An ancestral legacy in the art of bezeling

Blackfin's story begins with a long-term vision and a renaissance. In 1971, Maria Luisa Pramaor, mother of Nicola Del Din, the company's current CEO, worked at Luxottica in Agordo, Italy. Together with a few colleagues, she opened a metal glasses workshop, named Pramaor, which was subcontracting for Luxottica. Over the years, the municipality has become a major production centre in the Italian bezel industry. In two decades, Pramaor extended its subcontracting activities to major Italian and French lunette groups.
Between tradition and innovation, Blackfin focuses on titanium
In order to avoid dependence on a subcontracting system weakened by the increasing relocation of metal eyeglass production, the company decided to turn to titanium in the 1990s. This bold choice, given the technical requirements of this material, was a risky bet. In 2007, while low-cost competition was raging and order-holders were increasingly outsourcing manufacturing in Asia, the beginnings were difficult for Pramaor. However, thanks to the determination and experience of Pramaor's manager, Giancarlo Recchia, the company's renaissance began. In 2008, for example, brand Blackfin was born, never giving up his expertise in titanium collections and the quality of his production tool. The result was a collection of titanium glasses, both technical and design, inspired by Scandinavian style. In 2013, Blackfin's first campaign illustrated this strong identity, combining a lunar legacy and innovation. In the space of ten years, the brand has accumulated prizes at international fairs (Silmo, Mido, etc.) and has multiplied prestigious collaborations (Ciprianis, Pagani Cars, etc.).
NeomadeinItaly: a philosophy of life

Blackfin is also distinguished by its model of total integration in the field of bezeling: design, model manufacturing, coloring, storage, logistics, marketing, everything is concentrated on the site of Agordo. This is a new form of « Made in Italy » which is illustrated through the concept of « NeomadeinItaly » developed by Nicola Del Din. This includes not only the design and manufacturing process, but also respect for the environment and the well-being of the company's employees and partners. The site of Agordo, expanded in recent years to meet the success of the brand, is certified for its eco-responsibility and energy saving efforts.
Blackfin's seat perfectly embodies the concept of brand : a harmonious fusion between tradition and innovation, a deep link with its natural environment and an openness to the world.
